Day 1: Arrival in Ouarzazate and Explore

Upon your arrival in Ouarzazate, you will be greeted by your guide and driver. Take a short tour of the town, starting with the famous Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its red sandstone kasbahs and stunning views. The kasbah has been featured in numerous films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After your visit, head to Ouarzazate itself, where you can explore the Atlas Film Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. Afterward, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate to Dades Valley via Skoura

After breakfast, start your journey towards Dades Valley. On the way, stop at Skoura, an oasis town filled with impressive kasbahs and palm groves. Visit the Amridil Kasbah to admire its architecture and learn about the local Berber culture. Continue to Dades Valley, a beautiful region known for its stunning rock formations and valleys. You will visit the Valley of the Roses, famous for its rose water production, and then make your way to your accommodation in Dades Valley for the night.

Day 3: Dades Valley to Todra Gorge and Erfoud

After breakfast, continue your journey to Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most dramatic natural wonders. You will walk through the gorge, admiring its towering cliffs that rise up to 300 meters. It’s a popular spot for hikers and photographers. Afterward, drive through the Tafilalet region and stop in Erfoud, known for its fossils and desert landscapes. If time permits, you can visit a fossil workshop in Erfoud to learn about the region’s prehistoric past. In the afternoon, continue to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Day 4: Camel Trek and Desert Camp in Merzouga

After breakfast, embark on an exciting camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes of the Sahara Desert. Your guide will lead you through the rolling dunes to a traditional desert camp. On the way, enjoy the mesmerizing scenery and stop to capture the breathtaking views of the desert. Once at the camp, enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner and relax around the campfire, listening to traditional Berber music under the stars.

Day 5: Merzouga to Ziz Valley and Midelt

After a memorable desert sunrise, ride the camels back to Merzouga and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Then, continue your journey to Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and oases. You will drive through picturesque landscapes, with views of the Atlas Mountains in the distance. Stop for lunch in Midelt, located in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you can enjoy some local cuisine and take in the mountain views. After lunch, relax and explore the area before heading to your accommodation for the night.

Day 6: Midelt to Ifrane and Fes

After breakfast, head towards Ifrane, a charming town located in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Known as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate, Ifrane is a popular summer retreat for locals. Take a short tour of the town and visit the Al Akhawayn University and the nearby Lion Stone sculpture. Continue your journey to Fes, one of Morocco’s most iconic cities. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or riad and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 7: Explore Fes

Spend the day exploring the ancient and vibrant Fes Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Begin by visiting the Bou Inania Madrasa, one of the most beautiful Islamic schools in Morocco, known for its intricate tilework and architecture. Continue to the Al-Qarawiyyin University, the oldest continuously operating educational institution in the world. Stroll through the souks (markets) to experience the lively atmosphere and browse through Moroccan handicrafts, spices, and textiles. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at a local restaurant.
