Day 1: Arrival in Agadir

Arrive in Agadir, a vibrant coastal city. Spend the day enjoying the beachfront promenade, and stroll through the Agadir Marina. You can also visit the Agadir Kasbah for a panoramic view of the city and the Atlantic coast. In the evening, enjoy some traditional Moroccan cuisine at a local restaurant. Overnight in Agadir.

Day 2: Agadir to Taroudant

After breakfast, head to Taroudant, located about 1.5 hours away from Agadir. Often referred to as “Little Marrakech,” this town offers a more laid-back atmosphere with its beautiful city walls, traditional souks, and medina. Wander through the narrow streets and visit the Tafraoute Kasbah for great views of the surrounding area. In the afternoon, enjoy a cup of Moroccan mint tea at a café in the city. Overnight in Taroudant.

Day 3: Taroudant to Taliouine & Taznakht

Today, depart for Taliouine, the capital of saffron cultivation in Morocco. Visit the local saffron cooperatives and learn about the production of this precious spice. Afterward, continue your journey to Taznakht, a charming town known for its traditional Berber carpets. Explore the local carpet workshops and enjoy a relaxing evening in the town. Overnight in Taznakht.

Day 4: Taznakht to Draa Valley

On the fourth day, head towards the Draa Valley, one of the most picturesque regions in Morocco, known for its ancient kasbahs, palm groves, and lush oases. Stop in Agdz, a small town located in the valley, and visit the Kasbah of Tamnougalt for stunning views over the valley. As you drive further into the valley, you’ll witness more beautiful palm groves and desert landscapes. Overnight in Agdz or a nearby town.

Day 5: Draa Valley to Ait Benhaddou

Depart the Draa Valley and travel to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most famous ksars (fortified villages). This striking kasbah is known for its red sandstone walls and has served as the backdrop for many films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Explore the winding streets of this historic site and take in the stunning views of the surrounding desert. After visiting Ait Benhaddou, continue towards Zagora. Overnight in Zagora.

Day 6: Zagora Exploration & Return

On your final day, take some time to explore Zagora, a small town situated at the edge of the desert. Visit the Kasbah of Zagora and stroll through the Draa Valley. You can also take a short excursion into the desert or enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the town. If you wish, you can visit the Tomb of the Sultan Moulay Ismail or relax and enjoy some Moroccan mint tea at a local café. In the afternoon, depending on your travel schedule, you’ll either head back to Agadir or to your next destination.
