Day 1: Arrival in Errachidia and Travel to Merzouga

Upon your arrival in Errachidia, your driver will meet you and start your desert adventure. Begin your journey to Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. En route, stop at the famous Ziz Valley, known for its lush palm groves and the beautiful landscape that stretches as far as the eye can see. After a scenic drive, arrive in Merzouga and take a camel trek into the desert. The camel ride will take you through the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you’ll witness the stunning golden sands of the Sahara. Once you reach the desert camp, enjoy a traditional Berber dinner under the stars.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga and Visit Khamlia Village

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara. After breakfast at the desert camp, head back to Merzouga on camelback. Upon arrival, take some time to explore the town of Merzouga and its surroundings. Visit the Khamlia Village, known for its vibrant culture and traditional Gnawa music. You’ll have the chance to interact with the locals and learn about their way of life. Afterward, return to your hotel or guesthouse in Merzouga to relax and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Merzouga to Ouzina via Rissani

After breakfast, begin your journey toward Ouzina, a remote Berber village located deep in the desert. On your way, stop in Rissani, a town known as the historical gateway to the desert. Here, visit the famous Rissani Market, where locals gather to trade livestock, spices, and handicrafts. Continue your journey through the desert to Ouzina, where you’ll experience the peaceful desert atmosphere and stay in a traditional Berber-style guesthouse or camp.

Day 4: Ouzina to Todra Gorge

After breakfast, leave Ouzina and drive toward Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most dramatic natural wonders. The gorge features towering cliffs that rise to over 300 meters, creating a breathtaking sight. Take a walk through the gorge and enjoy the stunning landscape, which is a favorite spot for photographers and hikers. After exploring the gorge, you’ll have time to relax before continuing your journey to your accommodation in Tinghir or nearby towns.

Day 5: Todra Gorge to Errachidia

On the final day, enjoy a relaxing morning in the Todra Gorge. After breakfast, head back toward Errachidia. En route, you can stop at various scenic points to take in the views of the Atlas Mountains and the desert landscape. Upon reaching Errachidia, your driver will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your incredible 5-day desert journey.
