Day 1: Fes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen
Your adventure begins with an early departure from Fes, heading towards the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can admire stunning mosaics and learn about the historical significance of the site. After your visit, continue to the picturesque town of Chefchaouen, known for its stunning blue-washed buildings and charming streets. Arrive in Chefchaouen in the late afternoon, check into your accommodation, and enjoy a leisurely evening exploring the vibrant atmosphere.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Merzouga
After breakfast, leave Chefchaouen and head towards Merzouga. The scenic drive will take you through the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you can stop for lunch in Ifrane, often referred to as “Little Switzerland.” Continue your journey to Merzouga, arriving in the late afternoon. Once there, meet your camel guide for a memorable trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Ride across the golden sands, enjoying the breathtaking sunset views. Arrive at your desert camp, where you’ll savor a traditional Berber dinner and spend the night under the starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge
Wake up early to catch the spectacular sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga on camelback, freshen up, and begin your journey to Todra Gorge. Known for its towering cliffs, the gorge offers stunning landscapes and opportunities for hiking. After exploring, continue to Dades Gorge, where you can take in the incredible scenery and unique rock formations. Spend the night in a comfortable guesthouse in the Dades Gorge, enjoying dinner and the peaceful ambiance of the mountains.
Day 4: Dades Gorge – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, depart Dades Gorge and head towards Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its beautiful kasbahs and traditional mud-brick architecture. Explore the ancient village, which has served as the backdrop for many films. After lunch, continue your journey to Marrakech, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Day 5: Marrakech – Explore the Red City
