Spend the day at leisure, enjoying the beachfront promenade, the views from the Agadir Kasbah, and the vibrant atmosphere of the city. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with seafood delicacies. Overnight in Agadir.

Day 2: Agadir to Taroudant

After breakfast, begin your journey towards Taroudant, which is about a 1.5-hour drive from Agadir. Taroudant is often referred to as “Little Marrakech” because of its resemblance to the imperial city. Explore the old city walls, stroll through the souks filled with local goods, and visit the Tafraoute Kasbah for stunning views of the town and its surroundings. You can also visit the local artisan workshops for an authentic experience. Overnight in Taroudant.

Day 3: Taroudant to Taliouine and Taznakht

On the third day, head towards Taliouine, known as the saffron capital of Morocco. Take a guided tour of a saffron cooperative and learn about the cultivation process of this precious spice. Continue your journey to Taznakht, a small town known for its Berber carpets. Visit local workshops to see how traditional carpets are woven. In the afternoon, relax and explore Taznakht before overnighting there.

Day 4: Taznakht to Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate

Leave Taznakht early and drive towards Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Ait Benhaddou is a fortified village known for its red sandstone buildings and its role as a backdrop in numerous movies, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah and its narrow alleys, continue to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Ouarzazate is home to the famous Atlas Film Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. Spend the night in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate to Dades Valley and Todra Gorge

On this day, you will travel to the scenic Dades Valley, renowned for its stunning rock formations and kasbahs. Stop at various points to take in the incredible landscapes before continuing to Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon with cliffs that rise as high as 300 meters. Spend time walking through the gorge and marveling at the natural beauty. You will then continue your journey to Rissani and spend the night in a local hotel or guesthouse near the gorge.

Day 6: Rissani to Meknes and Volubilis

In the morning, leave Rissani and head towards Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Upon arrival, visit the Bab Mansour Gate, Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and the Royal Stables, which are a testament to the grandeur of the city. After lunch, continue to the nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The ruins are an excellent example of the Roman Empire’s influence in Morocco, with structures such as temples, basilicas, and intricate mosaics. Overnight in Meknes.

Day 7: Meknes to Fes

On your final day, you will travel to Fes, one of Morocco’s most important and historic cities. Fes is home to one of the world’s oldest universities and a beautifully preserved medieval medina. After checking into your hotel, begin your exploration by visiting the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, the Bou Inania Madrasa, and the Chouara Tannery, where you can observe the traditional method of leather dyeing. Wander through the bustling souks and alleyways of the medina before enjoying dinner at a traditional Moroccan restaurant. Overnight in Fes.
