Day 1: Tangier – Assilah – Fes.
You will start your tour from Tangier in the north towards Fes in the inland part of Morocco. On the way and just about 30 km south of Tangier, you will stop in the fortified town of Assilah in the Atlantic coast for a visit. Assilah is a small town of great charm and its beautifully decorated Medina will certainly fascinate you. You will navigate through its alleys and admire a series of murals painted in its walls. Afterwards, you will enjoy a scenic drive through many spectacular landscapes and arrive at your Riad/Hotel in the afternoon.
Day 2: Fes guides city tour.
Half of this day will be dedicated to visiting and wandering the old Medina of Fes ‘Fes El Bali’, a beautiful labyrinthine quarter of around ten thousand lanes that splendidly shows fascination of antiquity. You will get to see all of its historical sites and wonderful places, including: Bou Inania Madrasa, Al-Attarine Madrasa, Ennajarine Fountain, Moulay Idriss’s tomb and Al-Qarawiyyine University, the oldest university in the world where many scientists had been to, such as Ibn Khaldoun (1332-1406), the founder of sociology.
You will have lunch in the Medina before you head to visiting the new part of the city ‘Fes Al-Jdid’.night in a Hotel or at Riad.
Day 3: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen.
In the morning, you will head to the imperial city of Meknes to get the most out of its monuments and the atmosphere of the Medina with its varied and busy Souks. However, El Hedim square (the focal point of the Medina) and the great Bad Mansour (the centerpiece of the city’s gateways) are amongst the extraordinary creations which you are going to behold.
The following destination is Volubilis, the most impressive of the Roman sites in the country. Volubilis contains essentially Roman vestiges of an ancient city built in 3rd century B.C in a commanding site near the city of Meknes. Today, it is a UNESCO world heritage site; listed to be preserved as part of the Roman Empire.You will have lunch before you proceed to the splendid blue town of Chefchaouen.night in a Hotel or at Riad.
Day 4: Chefchaouen – Tangier.
You will spend the morning exploring this spectacular town which lies at the foothills of The Rif Mountains. You will wander through its beautifully decorated alleys and streets. You will also visit its small Medina and enjoy a panoramic vista of the whole town of Chefchaouen, the Blue town of Morocco. we continue to finish at Tanger.
